My Journey
My journey into software engineering has been a blend of academic rigor, military discipline, and a deep
curiosity for solving complex problems. It began at the University of Delaware, where I first explored
programming through courses in C and C++, laying the foundation for my technical journey.
While attending college, I joined the United States Coast Guard Reserves and served as an Electronics
Technician. During this time, I developed a passion for mathematics and philosophy, which led me to earn a
Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Arts in American Studies. These experiences shaped my
analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Despite my academic achievements, I realized my true career aspirations lay in programming and
technology. To pursue this path, I returned to college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science from Stockton University. To further refine my skills, I completed App Academy’s intensive 1000+
hour software engineering program, gaining practical experience in full-stack development and advanced
programming concepts.
As someone whose primary operating system is Windows, I have a strong interest in mastering C++, which is
Microsoft’s recommended language for Windows application development. This led to the creation of Auto
Core, a C++ utility designed to streamline task execution by remapping the numpad keys to user-defined
commands.
Through this journey, I have developed a solid foundation in software engineering, driven by a commitment
to technical excellence and continuous learning. I see programming as more than writing code — it is a way
to think critically, solve complex problems, and create practical solutions that make systems more efficient
and useful. I am excited to bring this perspective to solve meaningful problems and build innovative projects.
